THE SUMMER EDIT
What's on my mind in fashion as a fellow Gemini woman
I’ve been so into interiors, reading, and antique shopping lately that I haven’t stopped to ask myself — what the heck am I wearing this summer? What am I really feeling? Going off of a recent article, SOS fashion emergency, I still stand by those statements — a return to simplicity, ultimate minimalism, with a hint of accessory. Ultimate ease, no problem.
Summer is my favorite — not necessarily for dressing, as I love the layers and challenges that come with fall winter, but more-so in an energetic sense. I love greenery, air, summery fabrics, the certain effortless, sweaty, glowy je ne sais quoi that comes with June, July, and August. I am a Gemini, so it’s only natural that this lazy-chic pull of summer is genuinely woven into the fiber of my being. I digress.
I received this insanely gorgeous Liffner clutch in recently and it reprogrammed my brain into reminding me what I love. Beautiful tans, cream linens, embossing, a hint of croc and pep in my step. This with a black halter dress, running around NY with my best friend (or an event in LA) sounds like a dream to me.
I recently wore this vintage Etsy top with vintage Levi’s and my already beloved Underwater Weaving basket and felt so myself. Search “vintage embroidered top” on Etsy to find similar. I took a break from fashion Etsy finds for a bit, but now that I’m back I realize why I fell in love with it in the first place. There are so many beautiful treasures to covet.
I wore these South-of-France-flea-market-find glasses the other day and was reminded how I fell in love with oversized sunnies. These feel a bit of an ode to my Celine sunglasses and Tom Ford’s, which I’m a little fatigued from wearing, so it’s a refreshing difference but still gives that oversized look I love.
I want to find more baskets — for genuine use for the farmers market and also chicness. Saving up for a larger Underwater Weaving!
Adore this Matteau shirt — it’s going to be a Matteau, Toteme summer ladies. I want paired down, I want trousers, belts, striped shirts, brown leather, white trousers and white tees.
Mentioned in my vlog, I did my first FLORE FLORE purchase and I’m sooo happy about it. The Dewi tank is genuinely the most perfect tank top I’ve ever purchased. Worth the splurge — it’s so flattering. I do now want one in every color.
My wishlist has been small, but it doesn’t hurt to share what I’ve been saving recently, no matter how impractical (Sophie Buhai magnifying glass, duh). All links on my ShopMy
