Sometimes, you don’t really understand what you begin or when. You don’t realize that in a blip of a second, a choice, a decision, whether said out loud or continuously in your head, affects the rest of your life. Like dominos, one little push allows them to topple and fall, toward the beautiful game that is life.
All of the decisions I have made so far in my life have happened almost subconsciously, as if another human, another mind, took over and did the thing for me. I think that might be the key to something. Do I know what that something is necessarily? No, not yet. But I do find that the best things happen when you let go and do whatever it is you are thinking about doing, and then watch like a bystander to your own life, as you navigate the pieces and shifts that come along with your decision. It is almost like separating the physical from the mental. Within your decision making, we hopefully strive for one goal — how can I be better than my previous self? You hope that the decision you just made reaches you further toward that goal. Of course, sometimes that is not always the case.
